Beautiful vintage Bendix Aviation Corporation tabletop tube radio featuring a substantial wooden cabinet and an unusually decorative woven-style front grille. This is a particularly attractive example of a postwar Bendix radio. The cabinet has rounded corners, a large horizontal illuminated-style tuning dial, three original-style control knobs, and an elaborate grille incorporating woven and ornamental geometric details. The combination of the warm wood cabinet, gold-toned dial, decorative grille and streamlined design gives this radio an excellent late Art Deco / early Mid-Century Modern appearance.
