This is a nice old Art Deco radio for the 1930′s in excellent condition, never painted. The Airline Model 62-274 Radio is a vintage tube radio manufactured by Montgomery Ward & Co. (Wards, Airline) in the late 1930s. It is a plastikon cabinet radio with a ivory color finish, featuring six pushbutton station selectors and a tuning eye. Dimensions: The radio measures approximately 13 inches wide, 7.5 inches high, and 7 inches deep. Features: The 62-274 model includes. Electro Magnetic Dynamic (EMD) speaker with a 5-inch diameter. Six pushbutton station selectors for tuning. Tuning eye for precise frequency adjustment. Plastikon cabinet with an ivory finish. Power supply: AC (alternating current). This radio has seven tubes (including the eye tube), uses a long wire for an antenna and it picks up all local stations, and all the original features including the grille cloths. The radio is in excellent, functioning condition with only a very small, slight crack line in the lower rear grill (see picture). A wonderful addition to your collection and/or decorative showpiece.
