So this came in from a radio collectors estate, he collected radios for their cabinets, he did not care if they worked, he liked the style, the look, the design of them… This has a great design, art deco, No cracks at all. The cabinet is very nice, but bit dull. I do not see a model number. I plugged it in, it did get a station, tuned, but has a decent hum to it, not crazy loud, but loud. Please see all pictures, if you had this repaired and buffed up, you would have a keeper for sure. Hard to find these radios without damage to cabinets anymore. I will ad to the listing. This Art deco radio from Bendix Aviation Corporation is a gorgeous piece of history. The brown bakelite exterior exudes a sense of nostalgia, while the radio’s functionality remains intact. With the ability to tune into your favorite stations and enjoy quality sound, this Bendix model 111 is a must-have for any collector. It was manufactured in the United States between 1930-49 and has not been modified. Vintage radio Bendix aviation corporation model 111 – brown bakelite Works! This is an awesome radio in working condition. Please review the pictures for cosmetic condition. The paint on the inside of the dial face looks like it has peeled a little. I have not attempted to clean the radio at all so as not to accidentally damage it. But otherwise very clean & great condition. The finish on the radio has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax. There are some ripples in the veneer, but still presents well. Unfortunately, the radio is not functioning – only humming, so it will probably need to be recapped. All of the tubes tested good on my Eico Model 625 tube tester. The knobs all turn smoothly and properly, but the dial indicator gets hung up and does not move at times, so it is not functioning properly. The on/off knob no es around at the stem, so it may be partially broken, but it still functions. The glass dial cover is broken – see photo. Power cord is original, and in good condition. The grill cloth is in great condition, with no rips, or holes and minor stains. Two of the feet are missing there rubber bodies and all that remains is the metal pin. Great looking radio that will be a fine addition to your collection. Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.

The radio has a brown swirl pattern bakelite cabinet. A neat radio to own! More cool stuff in our store! About 9″ tall by 13″ wide. The depth is about 7. The chassis was moving around so we have removed it from the case. We didn’t want the case to be damaged. The radio is untested. The case looks to be in good shape, with only some light stains on top. No cracks or chips. We are unsure if all parts are original or not. Please see our photos! The cabinet is nice, tiny bit dull. And needs q-tip cleaned for dust.. I do not see a model number. Now few things need mentioned that I see. Small crack at top of dial plastic face, use zoom. The dial face is warped, if I run my hand across the face it is warped… And the back does not look original, the screws do not seem to line up. Also the two screws on bottom do not seem original and also to me, do not seem to line up. Has those great Z knobs, but they need cleaned and. Out of shape, use zoom. I plugged it in, just static and hum, tunes physically, but has a decent hum to it, no stations.. The dried masking tape on bottom seems fine, if soaked with oil or goo-gone, seems it will come off, does not seem to be hiding anything.. Vintage Atwater Kent Type E2 Radio Speaker 1920s Era. Untreated but there are wires in tact on the back of the speaker unit. Appears to be white paint on bottom as pictured. I was able to pick some of this off cleaning it but I didnt want to take away from the finish. Measures 15.5 tall and approx 13 wide. Here is the Antique Stewart Warner Radio Speaker with the Dancing Ladies. I had though about repurposing this one and putting 2 or 3 small colored lights inside for a neat background, but never got around to doing it. I like the worn speaker cloth look on the front with that idea. And actually one could do it without any alteration to the speaker itself which would be best. If you prefer though you could easily put it back with the thin speaker cloth and use it as a speaker. It is missing its cord, which is not big deal to replace. It is untested, but I would be surprised if it would not work. These speakers are quite heavy.
