Collectors – This is a rare one! It’s a pre-war model that really stands out with its push-buttons and lighted dial. It is an Airline, which was the store brand for Montgomery Ward, their model. The cabinet has been polished with my 4 step process that brings out the original factory finish. It has the original knobs and back. The deep brown marbled Bakelite cabinet and back-lit dial give it a stunning look. Check out the photos! Reception is through a standard loop antenna which is attached to the back of the radio. There is also an external connector on the back for an antenna. Thoroughly bench tested for a minimum of ten days, this unique radio is ready for you to use and enjoy. Since it is fully restored you will want to listen to it every day! I went through the chassis and replaced all of the electrolytic (filter) capacitors, the major cause of hum. I then replaced all of the wax/paper capacitors. The resistors were then checked and any more than 20% of their original value were replaced. All of the tubes were tested. Using my Precision 612 tube tester. The dial light bulb was replaced with a new bulb. The volume control and tuning capacitor were lubed so they now operate smoothly and quietly. I also replaced the power cord with a polarized cord for your safety. I then carefully cleaned and polished the chassis to a pleasing luster. He intermediate and radio frequency circuits were aligned to their peak utilizing my HP 8601A RF sweep generator. And my B+K Precision VTVM. This will be a great addition to anyone’s collection. Contiguous 48 states ONLY. If you are in. Please wait for my invoice with the correct cost. PLEASE NOTE: I will pack it well so that it will arrive undamaged. 13 x 7 x 6. I TAKE GREAT PRIDE IN EVERY RADIO THAT I RESTORE. Please remember, although this radio has been restored to its original specs, it is still a vintage radio that employs vintage technology. At the time it was manufactured it was not subject to the tremendous amount of RF interference that is generated today from computers, flat screen TVs, high-speed cable modems, light dimmers, etc. Careful placement of the radio is essential to minimize audio interference. It is my experience that different parts of my home will give me better reception than others. Some experimenting may be necessary for best reception.

1947 Admiral 7T10E-N Tube Radio. Presented here for your consideration is this museum quality 1947 ebony gem from Admiral. Made in Chicago, Admiral made quite a statement with this a large and robust cabinet design when so many other manufacturers were concentrating on smaller, compact plastic sets. Featuring the original “A’” monogrammed knobs and a warmly illuminated dial scale, it has been restored and is ready for your listening enjoyment. Beautiful black plastic bakelite cabinet (not painted) that is smooth to the touch with a mirror-like reflectivity. Intricately and meticulously hand polished to a brilliant factory fresh luster while maintaining and preserving its original and historically accurate appearance. It measures 8″ tall X 13 1/4″ wide. This is a fully restored and working radio. With each of my restored radios I invest significant time and attention to detail in order to bring you a radio with a level of workmanship and quality at a much higher standard than an average restoration. One that is not only worth displaying in your prized collection or proudly accenting your home or office decor, but one that will also bring you dependable and reliable listening enjoyment. In the interest of safety, performance and reliability ALL paper, wax and electrolytic capacitors have been replaced with modern day equivalents. Any resistors testing out of their allotted tolerance have been replaced. Every tube was tested and replaced if found to be under performing. Voltages are checked against the manufacturers specs. All moving parts are lubricated for smooth operation. A brand new power cord is added to replace the unsafe and brittle original. The signal strength is then aligned to factory specs to provide peak performance. Lastly, the set is then put through its paces by bench testing it for a minimum of 48 hours to ensure reliability and to allow for a proper’burn in’ period for new components. As a result of this entire restoration process, the set performs clearly, strongly and with that unmistakable tube driven sound. Very attractive cabinet appeal! No cracks, breaks or chips. Beautiful ebony plastic/bakelite cabinet (not painted) with an eye catching mirror-like reflectivity. Intricately and meticulously hand polished and detailed through a multi-stage process bringing the cabinet back to its original and historically accurate appearance all while retaining the natural production qualities and textures of the cabinet. All resulting in a beautifully reflective luster (you can see reflections of my shop in the photos). No shortcuts are taken. No clear coats, oils or auto waxes are used. Knobs & Dial Scale. Complete with the original factory plastic knobs. Each displays the Admiral “A” monogram wonderfully and is such a nice accent on this beauty. Each knob has been meticulously hand polished to a reflective luster with no chips, cracks or breaks. The dial scale features an ornate silver foil center that is simply wonderful to look at. Accented by a brown plastic aviation style dial pointer. The numbers are easy to read and are warmly illuminated when the set is on. All protected by a crystal clear plastic dial lens.
