This radio receives stations with good volume and no hum using just the loop antenna inside the case. The case has been painted dark brown with a dark red face and a dial that lights up when the radio is on. The case had two cracks in 2 corners near the bottom that have been repaired and reinforced with metal epoxied inside the case. The repaired case is now solid and has been thoroughly washed and it looks remarkable for a 77 year old. The knobs match and are original. The original cardboard back was missing and has been replaced with a new one to keep fingers out of the radio. A reproduced label is on the bottom that shows the location of the tubes. The inside chassis has been thoroughly cleaned; the volume control de-oxidized for smooth volume changes and all moving controls lubricated. I have replaced all old electrolytic and wax capacitors in the chassis with new modern capacitors and have checked all resistors. The electrolytic capacitors have been installed on top inside the black cardboard tube just like the originals. Brittle or bare wiring has been replaced or re-insulated. All 5 easily found tubes have been tested and questionable tubes have been replaced. The line cord and the speaker are still in good condition. The radio has been successfully bench tested for days and should continue to play loud and clear for many more years. The radio size is approximately 6½ high by 12 wide by 6½ deep and weighs almost 6 pounds. For model 5D610 Ch=5B01 early, Zenith Radio Corp. United States of America (USA).
