Vintage 1946 Truetone D2613 Green Bakelite Tube Radio Art Deco – Parts/Repair. For sale is a beautiful vintage 1946 Truetone Model D2613 tabletop tube radio in a highly desirable hunter green Bakelite/plastic cabinet. The green cabinet is in great shape for its age. The lattice grille and control panel show great Art Deco styling. The three original cream control knobs are present. TECHNICAL CONDITION / READ CAREFULLY. This radio powers on and the internal dial lights up. The speaker emits a loud rushing static noise when the volume is turned up, but it is currently unable to tune into any radio stations. The flat cardboard back panel containing the loop antenna is completely missing, which is likely why it cannot receive signals. Do not leave it plugged in for long periods without an electronic overhaul.
Beautiful vintage Bendix Aviation Corporation tabletop tube radio featuring a substantial wooden cabinet and an unusually decorative woven-style front grille. This is a particularly attractive example of a postwar Bendix radio. The cabinet has rounded corners, a large horizontal illuminated-style tuning dial, three original-style control knobs, and an elaborate grille incorporating woven and ornamental geometric details. The combination of the warm wood cabinet, gold-toned dial, decorative grille and streamlined design gives this radio an excellent late Art Deco / early Mid-Century Modern appearance. This is a vintage Emerson Model 602 or 636 tube radio, frequently designed by Raymond Loewy in the late 1940s. It features a distinctive Art Deco or streamlined plastic/Bakelite cabinet with a grid-style speaker grille, reminding of the dashboard radios of cars of the 1940′s. Raymond Lowery designed the Streamlined locomotives for the Pennsylvania Railroad, Studebaker Commander and Avanti as well. Vintage 1936 Pre-WWII Art Deco Wood Tube Radio – Powers On / Restoration Project. Up for sale is an authentic, rare vintage 1936 Coronado Model 575 table tombstone tube radio. An exceptional, highly sought-after piece of broadcasting history that retains its original internal paper schematic layout label! Makes a phenomenal shelf display or a rewarding winter restoration project. Brand: Coronado (Gamble-Skogmo House Brand). Model Number: 575 (Confirmed by the original internal paper cabinet label). Production Year: Circa 1935 / 1936. Cabinet Material: Walnut Wood (Tombstone style). Features: Gorgeous airplane dial with pre-war “Police” markings, original brass Coronado lower shield badge, original matching wood grain control knobs, and an authentic purple-tinted fabric grill cloth insert. Technical Note: The power cord has been previously updated with a safe, modern replacement cord (not original brittle cloth). When briefly plugged in, the unit successfully receives power, the main rectifier tube lights up with an authentic orange filament glow. The left volume/power knob turns smoothly. The middle band switch knob rotates freely without clicking. The right tuning knob is currently stuck/firm (likely needs a standard replacement dial cord string or lubrication). The wooden cabinet is structurally solid and sturdy but displays honest character wear. Notably, there is a prominent vertical strip of missing veneer along the back edge of the left side panel (please see the dedicated side photo for an exact look at this specific flaw). There are also a few small cosmetic wood chips on the top corner edges. The raw wood bottom remains solid with tight chassis bolts and original markings. RCA Victor Model 56X3. This classic American radio features a handsome curved wood cabinet, horizontal wooden speaker louvers, three front controls, and a distinctive burgundy, gold and cream horizontal tuning dial. Although this radio is NOT WORKING, it retains tremendous visual character and makes an excellent display piece for a vintage interior, office, library, study, movie/photography prop, radio collection, or restoration project. Reference information for this model identifies it as a six-tube receiver. This radio has been tested and DOES NOT WORK. No attempt has been made to diagnose, repair or restore the radio. The exact cause of the non-working condition is unknown. Tion, replacement parts, accessories or other items are included unless specifically shown in the photographs. This is an approximately 80-year-old vintage radio and shows age and use consistent with an unrestored antique electronic item. The wooden cabinet remains highly attractive and displays beautifully from the front. It retains its distinctive curved profile, horizontal wooden grille/louvers, tuning dial and three front control knobs. The cabinet shows various scratches, scuffs, finish wear, edge wear, small marks and areas of discoloration. There is more noticeable finish wear around the left front control knob and along portions of the lower front panel. Additional scratches and edge wear are visible on the sides and corners. The tuning dial remains highly presentable and retains its attractive burgundy, gold and cream coloration. The rear is open and the original rear/back cover is not present. The internal chassis, tubes, speaker and other components shown in the photographs are present; however, no representation is made that every internal component is original, complete, functional or suitable for reuse. The original RCA Victor identification/tube-location label remains attached to the underside and is remarkably legible considering its age. Please examine all photographs carefully.
