Beautiful vintage Bendix Aviation Corporation tabletop tube radio featuring a substantial wooden cabinet and an unusually decorative woven-style front grille. This is a particularly attractive example of a postwar Bendix radio. The cabinet has rounded corners, a large horizontal illuminated-style tuning dial, three original-style control knobs, and an elaborate grille incorporating woven and ornamental geometric details. The dial is marked. 55 60 70 80 100 120. The combination of the warm wood cabinet, gold-toned dial, decorative grille and streamlined design gives this radio an excellent late Art Deco / early Mid-Century Modern appearance. The radio has been plugged in and is WORKING. No guarantee is made regarding future performance or the condition of individual internal components. This should be considered a working vintage electronic collectible rather than a newly serviced modern appliance. Good vintage condition with substantial original character. The wooden cabinet shows expected age-related wear including scratches, scuffs, finish wear, discoloration and marks. Here we have a Vintage 1940′s Mitchell Airboy Sr. Aviation Navigation Receiver & Trans -Model AT-92-50. Appears to be complete. Has fold out schematics. The knob does turn the dial properly. The leather handle is in good condition. There is some paint loss on the top of the case. This takes two 67-1/2 V. I don’t have the batteries, so I was unable to test this. Cosmetically – except for the paint loss- this is in very nice vintage condition. The tubes look good, they weren’t all caked with dust, like some old tube radios can get. This measures appoximately 6-1/4″ x 5″ x 5 tall. Manufactured by Mitchell, Inc out of Mineral Wells, Texas.

This Art deco radio from Bendix Aviation Corporation is a gorgeous piece of history. The brown bakelite exterior exudes a sense of nostalgia, while the radio’s functionality remains intact. With the ability to tune into your favorite stations and enjoy quality sound, this Bendix model 111 is a must-have for any collector. It was manufactured in the United States between 1930-49 and has not been modified. Vintage radio Bendix aviation corporation model 111 – brown bakelite Works! This is an awesome radio in working condition. Please review the pictures for cosmetic condition. The paint on the inside of the dial face looks like it has peeled a little. I have not attempted to clean the radio at all so as not to accidentally damage it. But otherwise very clean & great condition.
