CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original hand crafted walnut colored wood. The finish is factory original with dings and finish checking throughout. Not repainted, no touch up, no over spray. There are no major scratches or abrasions. Clear tuning glass window is not cracked, no chips, yellowed with age, securely attached. Original grill fabric is not ripped, some water stains, not separated along edges. LOGO: No missing logos. Detrola front decal is not flaking off. KNOBS: The original tuning knobs are all matching in excellent condition no cracks no chips securely attached. LETTERING: No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial numbering. The tuning dial works fine no slipping or sticky spots. Tuning back panel is a rare unusual metallic painted red burgundy color. DIAL LIGHT: not tested due to age of cord. BACKING BOARD: Factory original backing board is secured and attached to. POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are not tested in old condition with cracks & splits. FACTORY LABEL: No missing factory labels. COLOR: brown, walnut color wood. DIMENSIONS: Approximately 13″ x 8″ x 7.5 (l x w x h). WEIGHT: 7 lbs 8 oz. Country of manufacture: USA. Offered here this old General Electric amateur radio Model G 61, year is from 1938 It almost plays it has the high pitch squeal like it’s looking for a station, But the tuner string broke so I have no way to tune it! But I ve kept the guide to repair that part!!! Has original knobs , some expensive tubes inside radio!!! Please look at all pictures!!!! This radio is heavy will be wrapped very securely for to arrive safely.

The distinctive cabinet is in very good condition given its age and made from walnut veneers and contrasting hardwoods – very pretty. The This is a working radio ready to play, display and enjoy – the sound is clear and crisp with no hum. As with all my radios it is electrically sound – the tubes are strong and the all the capacitors have been replaced. The radio plays very well and should give years of good service. The radio features: a working dial light; a good-sized speaker; bakelite knobs; a stylized wooden grill with original grill cloth; and a slide rule dial. The cord has been replaced and has a polarized plug. The approximate measurements are: 11″ across, 8″ high and 6.5 deep. Every vintage tube radio I sell has been thoroughly serviced – tubes tested, components checked and then the unit is lubricated and cleaned inside and out. The work performed can be seen in the pictures of the chassis and/or found in the radio description.
