Vintage General Electric J-62 1941 wood tube table radio As Is Untested. I haven’t tried to plug in it, as I don’t want to risk damaging anything, since I don’t know anything about these. It comes with a few pieces, one being the screw and spike thing for one of the underside screws, but it doesn’t go in cause it’s slanted. See the many pics to see what all is there. We appreciate your business and look forward to sending you many boxes. Vintage Emerson Radio and Phonograph Corp. Wood cabinet tube radio, circa early 1940s. This one has great Art Deco character: a black and gold geometric dial with a red-center pointer, a ribbed wood front with slot grille, and a spring-loaded retractable carry handle on top. The dial reads Emerson Radio and Phono Corp NY USA. Measures approximately 10 1/2″ wide x 9″ tall x 5 1/2 deep. This radio has not been plugged in or powered on in any way, and I make no claims about whether it works. Like any radio this age, it should be inspected and serviced by a qualified technician before any attempt to power it up. Please do not plug it in as-is. No back panel. The back is open, as shown. At least one tube is visible (marked 12SA7). I have not checked whether all tubes are present. Visible crack across the center of the carry handle. Crack line across the dial window area, and rust-colored spotting on the dial face. Loop antenna board on the back has chipped and worn edges and loose lead wires, as shown. Original power cord and plug are aged and worn. Cabinet shows scratches, finish wear, and finish loss on the top and sides, plus white paint specks on the cabinet and knobs. Bottom has finish and veneer damage and a torn label remnant. Dust and cobwebs inside. It was only given a light wipe-down. Please see all photos carefully, as they are part of the description.
Antique early 1920s one-tube radio receiver, likely a regenerative or home-built/kit type set. Features a wooden cabinet, large tuning dial, vintage controls, tube, variable capacitor, and early-style rear terminals.
1938 Philco 38-93b Cathedral-Style Tube Radio. Interesting piece, as it’s labeled 38-93 but looks like a 37-93b (different cabinet shape). Based on the inspection date, I’m guessing this radio was manufactured at the tail end of the 1937 production run and was simply labeled as a’38 model. Could use some restoration but seems to be fully functional. Receives fine without an antenna connected. Frequency display is quite badly damaged. Would likely be dust in the wind if not for some ancient tape on the inside holding it together. The tiny bulb that illuminates the frequency display went out during testing but came back on. May be in need of replacement soon. Volume knob was exceptionally scratchy so the pot has been cleaned. It is no longer scratchy. Has numerous chips in the finish: scuffs, scratches etc. But it could be worse!

This radio is old. The paint is chipped and scratched. The wood veneer on the front of the radio is separating. The speaker fabric is faded, worn, and stained. Some of the wooden feet are broken. There is splitting in the wood on the bottom of the radio. The screws on the back of the radio are rusted. Power cord is brittle. This items condition is exactly as pictured. We were not able to get radio to play. Buzzing and humming, and light turns on but not able to catch a tune.
