This was an extremely popular radio when it was introduced in 30′s. This is still a fairly popular & desirable radio by today’s standards. I have taken many pictures so you may get a good view at this WONDERFUL Looking Radio & it Plays. The Tombstone cabinet on this Beauty appears to have been refinished by a previous owner. That has been re-cleaned & then polished which still Produces a Nice Soft sheen or shine. This cabinet is NICE & SPECTACULAR looking (NOT PERFECT) as there are a few Very light/minor nicks/imperfections & a section ov veneer missing on the left side! The round Scale is VERY COOL LOOKING & in Fantastic Condition with good graphics & a working dial light. The 4-Plastic Brown control knobs are in Fantastic Cosmetic Condition. The chassis is in good condition & it is a 5-tube unit with 4-controls & all controls have been lubricated & are in good working condition. The 4-controls are1-TONE 2-ON/OFF/VOLUME, 3-TUNING & 4th-BAND SWITCH. The tube line up is One-6B5, One-76, Two-6D6 & One-80. The electric cord is in great condition that can be safely plugged in. The chassis is in good condition that had all the controls lubricated & All Tube Pins & Sockets were cleaned. The Electric Cord is in Great condition. THIS RADIO IS “STILL” OPERATING ON ALL OF IT’S “ORIGINAL” ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS/PARTS! This CROSLEY Radio has been serviced & is in working condition. THERE IS A AC HUM WHEN THE VOLUME IS LOW SO PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND IF YOU ARE GOING TO PLAY THIS RADIO. This CROSLEY RADIO would make an Excellent addition to your radio collection or as a stand alone radio as it’s power & beauty will surely be the talk of the room by all whom enter. This is a vintage radio & must be handled & cared for & treated in this manor & not like a modern day boombox. Tube radio technology “unlike modern day solid state radios” can have interference/noise in the sound quality, caused by kitchen appliances, computer monitors, flat screen TV’S, florescent lights, washing machines, high power wires above your home, etc… So where you position/place this radio in your home can make a huge difference & the direction/position it is set in. A LOT OF TUBE RADIOS ARE DIRECTIONAL MEANING YOU “MAY” HAVE TO TURN THE RADIO IN ONE DIRECTION OR ANOTHER TO RECEIVE THE BEST RECEPTION. TUBE RADIOS GENERALLY TAKE 30 TO 45 SECONDS AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN POWERED/TURNED ON BEFORE THEY WILL START PLAYING AS THE TUBES HAVE TO WARM UP. I package very well for a safe arrival.
