Circa 1941 Sears, Roebuck Silvertone wood case radio model R1181, 15″ tall, 16 1/2″ wide, 10 1/2 deep, grille cloth, pair of dials and six push buttons. Has a built in loop antenna. Turning the dial moves the station indicator and the push buttons also work to change channels. Has Short Wave(s) and Police settings but didn’t hear anything from those. Magic eye tube feature is present but never had it indicating a solid station connection so I can’t say if it was working. The wood finish looks original but someone thinks its not but its in very nice condition with only minor marks, the curved corners are such a signature of the later Art Deco design. Looks like the former owner took great care of this old model. Has one small break or crack at the right hand base of the plastic surround the push buttons (see close-up).
