Vintage 1954 His Masters Voice HMV Bakelite Radio Long Wave & Medium Wave. Vintage 1954 His Masters Voice HMV Bakelite Radio Long Wave & Medium Wave -Tube. This is in excellent condition. It seems to be in working order. When switched on a white noise sound comes through the speakers. I was unable to tune it to a station. The radio casing is made from Bakelite with a conker, brown coloured finish. The Bakelite has acquired a mild patina through time and use. The top of the radio has the “His Masters Voice” logo of the little dog by a gramophone. There is also a by Royal appointment stamp, to the top. The front panel and speaker are made from cream coloured Bakelite, which is in excellent condition. There are also three tuning and control knobs, also Bakelite, to the front. These are intact and are in excellent condition. The tuning dial panel is glass with coloured markings. This is intact and in excellent condition. Underneath it is marked: His Master’s Voice. The back panel of the radio can be removed to access the tubes, valves etc. Width: 42cm (16 1/2). If you have any questions please let me know.
