This portable Bakelite radio was originally manufactured by Pilot around 1940. The handle is cleverly held down by inside springs and extends upward to provide space for fingers when pulled upward. The unique, light dial features the iconic Lone Ranger on his horse shouting Hi-Yo Silver! With an attractive needle that looks like an airplane flying toward you. The radio is in excellent condition with a beautiful shine and has been found free of any cracks upon thorough inspection. It is likewise free of chips except 4 minor ones in the protruding lines on the bottom that support the radio (see last photo). They aren’t visible unless you specifically look at the underside of the radio. See photos for cosmetic condition. 15 inches long x 7.5 inches wide x 9.5 inches tall.
