Radio has not been restored or repaired. When plugged in and turned up, I can hear a small amount of static. I have not attempted to tune, repair, service, or otherwise make the radio work. Description: Vintage RCA Victor Model BX-57 portable tube radio, dating to approximately the early 1950s. Beautiful maroon/brown cabinet with gold-tone grille and trim, faux alligator-textured accents, and carrying handle. When the radio is plugged in and the volume is turned up, I can hear a small amount of static. That is the extent of my testing. I have NOT attempted to repair, restore, clean the internal components, or do anything to make the radio work. I cannot guarantee any additional functionality. Vintage Zenith Model G503 tube portable radio with its original box. Features the distinctive flip-up Bakelite dial/front insert and classic mid-century Zenith styling. Radio does power on and produces sound. I have not been able to clearly dial in a station, although it was tested inside a metal building which may affect reception. Shows typical age-related wear from use and storage. There is some wear/deterioration to the covering around portions of the power cord. Close-up photos have been included showing the blemishes/damage and areas of wear to cabinet and bakelite face plate.
