This is a classic vintage 1950s Zenith portable tube radio, model G503-Y (Chassis 5G41). It features a distinct textured black carrying case with a fold-out front panel that reveals the iconic “The Royalty of Radio” standard broadcast dial face. The internal vacuum tube components are intact. This unit runs on a standard 117V AC/DC power cord or via a vintage Z909 battery (battery not included).

All original push-button waveband selectors (red buttons present). Retractable telescoping antenna included. Flip-top lid with original “Royalty of Radio” medallion – intact. Original Zenith script nameplate on front. Bakelite carrying handle intact. Condition: Shows honest age and use. Leatherette has scuffs and scratches consistent with its age.
Great original, after couple minutes warm up comes on, long telescoping inset antenna, no bends or breaks, case has mostly wear to finish a touch of stain, some wax or Vaseline rub would make look nice, no glass cover over tuner, tuner rotates moves good with original feel. Lots of radio noise, Didn’t get a voice but feel sure with a little attention would pull in… Old originals getting more Rare, great collector value… Thanks to all for looking…
