Leather handle fully intact. Light wear from use. I tested it and it works properly. There is a light hum when operating, but not enough to be bothersome. The volume works properly with great output, and the tuning knob also works properly with the indicator aligned properly. The cord is intact and not in need of replacement. The interior is clean, and all original decals are still intact. The lower section is for a battery (not included) with the connector still attached. Most negatives are cosmetic, including one cap on strap connector missing, the tuning and volume knobs have some degradation, and there are some scratches and mars in the plastic case. Excellent working condition and no significant damage or cracks to the burgundy red plastic housing. Please see photos for details of condition. Vintage MOTOROLA 49L11Q Portable Suitcase Tube Radio “FOR RESTORATION PROJECT”. Still in great shape, Bakelite, portable suitcase tube radio. When I first started to plug it in. I saw spark at the plug. So no further testing was performed on item. And I did not plug in the battery. I didn’t see any point being how old it is. The outside of the case is absolutely beautiful. “AS IS” for parts or Restoration.
Vintage 1948 General Electric Model 145. Maroon Red Plastic & Brass. GE Portable (Plug-in) Tube-Type Radio. Condition: Cosmetically, little scratches on some metal plates, but can be cleaned up to look like new. Turns on softly, warms up after a few seconds Works, picks up a lot of stations, very little hum.
Hallicrafter fans, have you seen one of these? So, is it a rare model? Leatherette wood cabinet in good condition and repaired. Restored, aligned, capacitors replaced. Tested for 24 hours on AC power. I really like the bronze-brass brown lettering contrasting front panel finish on this piece. Telescoping antenna is in excellent condition. It’s a great old radio. I replaced the carrying handle and leather headphone straps on the interior. I did NOT test for battery operation. Works great on AC. All Four Bands tested and working.
