The model number on this rare radio is 45×1 and was produced in the 1940 era. The cabinet has been restored to its original finish with 3 coats of. Lacquer and hand rubbed to a lusterous shine. It has been done professionaly. The cabinet is solid & tight with no missing veneer. The cabinet has no nicks or scratches. For a radio that is over 75yrs old and it’s shinny finish is remarkable. The dial lens cover is clean& clear with no cracks. The 2 brown bakelite/plastic control knobs are original & in fantastic looking & working condition the 5 brown bakelite/plastic pushbuttons are all in great condition. & they do work. The horizontal wood speaker louvers are in great looking condition that adds a very distinctive look to the cabinet. There is a back panel & is a reproduction in great condition. The chassis is in great condition& has had all the tubes and capastors tested and replaced as is a 5 tube unit with 2 control knobs the controls are on/off/volume & tuning and both work great. The radio plays loud and clear with no hum or distortion. This rca gem would make an excellent addition to anyones collections or as a stand alone piece as this beauty will catch the eye where ever displayed.
