Listed is a very nice 1930s vintage radio. This is a very rare vintage radio. Needs some restoration, but overall great condition given its age. This Troy radio is a unique find for the advanced or beginner collector. 18″ wide X 10″ tall X 8 deep. The Troy Radio and Television Company was a relatively small radio manufacturing enterprise once located at 1144 South Olive Street in Los Angeles, California. They took their name from The USC Trojans. They built numerous one-of-a-kind models, with very few still around today, making it extremely difficult to identify any particular set. They were one of hundreds of small American radio manufacturers that successfully tapped into the thriving market for radios during the Great Depression. I know that in 1941, just as WWII began and only nine years after building their first radios, the Troy Radio and Television Company of Los Angeles went out of business, meaning this particular radio is likely anywhere from 75 to 85 years old. Please take the time to look over the details. You may not find another treasure like this one anywhere else. If you’re a collector, a great old set! This unit is sharp looking and small enough in size to fit anywhere in your home or office. It has not been restored. The radio has been plugged in, and it appears that all or most of the circuitry and knobs work correctly. The tubes warm up, the light behind the display comes on, the volume knob works, and the tuning dial appears to work properly as well. The only sound coming through the speakers is static, so most likely needs a new antenna. The housing has not been refurbished either, leaving it up to you how you want it to appear.
