Up for sale is this 1930s Marshall 6-tube radio. It is in working condition (see video). The dial is wonderfully stylized with its various colors and brass surround. The knobs are wooden and turn / function smoothly. The cabinet is in excellent condition, with only minor wear. The are no chips, deep scratches or stains on the finish. The cloth in the speaker is in excellent condition. The plug is taped up in two spots where the rubber insulation was worn away. Dimensions : 16 1/2″ x 12″ x 9. Please message me with any questions.

Stunning 1940s Vintage Wood Console/Tabletop Tube Radio – Fully Operational! Authentic 1940s Westinghouse tabletop radio. Featuring a beautifully designed Art Deco wood veneer, horizontal speaker grille louvers, and a classic lighted slide-rule tuning dial, this radio serves as both an audio piece and a striking statement decor item. It features five mechanical preset push-buttons along with four front-facing control knobs to adjust tuning, volume, and band selection. Key Features & Details: Working Condition: Powers up nicely. This is an authentic vintage electronics piece from the 1940s. Showing minor age-appropriate surface wear. The back of the radio. Exposed Cabinet Space: The right side of the cabinet interior is completely open and empty. Internal Components Vulnerable: The vacuum tubes, chassis wiring, and transformer are exposed to dust and touch. Partial Backing Only: The brown fiberboard panel present only covers the lower half of the main electronic chassis. Missing Main Board: Vintage radios from this era typically featured a full-sized, ventilated cardboard or hardboard back panel. Vintage, made in the USA in 1937! The dial light does not come in but the radio reception is decent here in Seattle, WA. No cracks in the case, but there are a few scuffs/knicks. Nothing major at all considering this radio’s age+.

Known for its quality and craftsmanship, Philco radios are highly sought after by collectors of vintage radios. This particular model offers a touch of nostalgia and historical significance, making it a valuable addition to any collection of vintage electronics. All capacitors have been replaced. The capacitors which were originally inside the Bakelite enclosures were removed and the enclosures re-stuffed with new capacitors. The “metal can” electrolytic capacitors were bypassed with new ones on the underside of the chassis. The radio receives and plays well using a long wire antenna attached to the “Ant” terminal, as these old radios did not come with a built-in antenna. The cabinet has been refinished using dark walnut stain and a topcoat of clear polyurethane. The grille fabric has been replaced also. The speaker had a tear in the paper cone which has been repaired. (glued) The speaker sounds good. The cord has been replaced at some point and is in good condition. I picked this radio up as a project to repair and refinish. I’ve enjoyed repairing and refinishing it and now it’s time for someone else’s enjoyment. (approximately 90 years old).

Will need an antenna and while gorgeous as it is. Needs the glass and frame around the tuner on front. Beautiful wood – fully functioning piece of history – no back plate. The wood on this piece is amazing absolutely beautiful. Also for its size it is very heavy. This is nearly 100 years old – not yet but approaching – it’s 90% fully restored and has been loved. Item will be packaged with care.

Original vintage 1930s radio service bulletin binder compiled for use by a radio service technician. This loose-leaf reference manual contains factory-issued service bulletins, wiring diagrams, schematics, voltage charts, alignment procedures, and parts information for a variety of early tube radios. Manufacturers represented include Philco, Emerson, Arvin, and likely others. Features numerous detailed fold-out schematics and technical service information used by authorized radio repair shops during the Golden Age of radio. The binder is personalized to the original owner, L. Tompkins, adding to its historical appeal as a genuine working technician’s reference rather than a later reprint. Approximately 11.5″ x 9.5″. Good vintage condition with expected age-related wear to the binder and pages. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description. A fantastic piece of early electronics history, ideal for antique radio collectors, restorers, historians, and anyone interested in vintage American technology and service literature.

Vintage PLA-MOR tube radio, likely manufactured by D. (Detrola), chassis model 104. Estimated production period: 1920s-1930s. Wooden tabletop cabinet with original-style components and vintage design. The unit powers on and tubes light up when plugged in. Audio output has not been tested. This radio may require an external speaker or high-impedance headphones for operation (not included). Chassis model 104 is marked inside the cabinet, and the rear plate is marked Made in U. Detroit, as shown in the photos. Cabinet shows age-related cosmetic wear including scratches, scuffs, finish wear, and other signs of age and storage. Original back cover and knobs are present. Interior components appear original. Only the items shown in the photos are included. No speaker, headphones, or additional accessories are included.
