You will look very long and very hard for a marbled plascon radio in this original condition. Offered for your consideration is this General Electric tabletop tube radio – model C-421, manufactured in the mid 1950′s. It has a striking 50′s looking step design. The radio is in good condition. The plascon cabinet colour is dark burgundy with wine, red and black mottling colours running through it. The oversized 6 inch oval speaker is loud and clear and the radio brings in a lot of stations. This is a working radio ready to play, display and enjoy – the sound is very good with no. As with all my radios it is electrically fit – the tubes are strong and all of the original capacitors have been replaced. Also featuring: classic 50′s body styling, a very unique dial light – it is behind the dial pointer and in a darkened room, it moves with the pointer; the grill is silver and louvred; the knobs are in good shape – both work smoothly ; the cabinet has no cracks or dings and is very shiny; the polarized cord is new; the original back is present, as is the original decal on the bottom. The measurements are: 13″ across, 9″ high and 7 wide.
