This set is the Patriot Chest radio from the 1942 model year, manufactured in 1941 as war was brewing. Striking Chest design with rope handles on either side. Red, white and blue piping surrounds the radio. Top opens to reveal the dial and the control knobs. The chassis has been fully restored: cleaned, lubricated and all tubes tested good. All capacitors have been replaced with their modern equivalents. A former owner did re-stain the cabinet and there are some drip marks on the back. All in all, for an 82-year-old piece of electronics this condition is excellent. The radio weighs 6 pounds (unpacked) and measures 11 inches long by 6 1/2 inches deep by 6 1/2 inches high. This item will be carefully packaged and boxed using double bubble wrap and nuggets.
