For sale this beautifully restored classic receiver from ZENITH, manufactured in 1955, with its attractive design. All details were taken care for a beautiful finished look. In this set, the old and damaged bakelite surface of the cabinet was repaired and painted with a more striking color to enhance its appearance. This set in blue and orange. The components in the front panel were restored, getting the results you can see. Internally the radio looks excellent. In the internal part of the chassis, all the old film and electrolytic capacitors were replaced by new components, as well as the defective mica and ceramic capacitors and out of tolerance resistors; respecting their original location and arrangement in order to maintain the originality of the wiring. The wires in bad condition were also replaced. A thorough cleaning of the entire chassis was completed. An identical reproduction of the tube layout label was placed on the back of the chassis. All the components in the cabinet were completely disassembled for an effective cleaning. The cabinet was painted, fully restored. In the front panel the lettering was completely restored. The knobs were cleaned. The mark was painted. The pointer was painted. The back cover was cleaned. All the components in the chassis were cleaned. The chassis itself was deeply cleaned. The main tuning capacitor was cleaned and lubricated. The old selenium rectifier was replaced with a 1N4007 diode and a dropping resistor was added to achieve the operational voltages. Electrolytic capacitors, film capacitors and defective mica capacitors were replaced with new components. The filter electrolytic capacitor can was re stuffed with new components. Resistors out of tolerance were replaced with new components. Switches, pots and electric wafers were cleaned and lubed. Vacuum tubes were checked and the defective tubes were replaced with NOS tube. The tube base sockets were cleaned. A new polarized electric cord was installed. Electric wires in bad condition were replaced. The dialing mechanism was completely disassembled, cleaned and lubricated. The tube layout label in the back of the receiver is a new reproduction. Size: 14 X 8 X 8 inches.
