The Vintage Antique Zenith TransOceanic Tube Radio from the 1940s features a chassis model 5G40 that is known to work. Aetna 602 1940′s. This is a Beautiful Vintage 1940′s RESTORED AETNA Radio. Model 602 (is imprinted on the chassis) The Bakelite radio has been refinished in beautiful Catalin swirls and marbling. There are no cracks, dings, blemishes or scratches on this cabinet. I’m adding RARE to the description since I have never seen another like it. The Radio works perfectly with strong signals in my area. Volume knob powers on and adjusts volume up / down, without static. The radio has great volume. Tone control knob adjusts treble and bass as it should. Although there’s no Short Wave in my area. The Station display lights up when turned on. Electronics have been restored/replaced as needed. Period correct grill cloth has been added. All in All this is a powerful little radio that plays and displays well. 9 ¾” x 8″ x 7. A fairly common radio rarely found in this condition. Radios this nice and original are a rare find. The original finish is beautiful right down to the perfect decal. The grille / bezel is made of Tenite. A material that is almost always showing warpage. This one is perfect! . This grille is excellent and the best example I’ve seen. The cardboard back looks like new. The chassis is clean and retains all original Philco features. There is a hairline crack in the plastic lens cover, virtually unnoticeable. This radio has been serviced and plays great. No hum and great volume. 13″W x 7-1/2″H x 6-1/2D. This pre-war table model features a right front dial panel with the famous “red pointer” dial indicator and plastic grille with horizontal louvers. Uses six tubes, has three knobs, carrying handle and feet. It receives broadcast and shortwave. Tenite grille in excellent condition. 13-1/2″W x 9″H x 7D. This is a Vintage Madison tube clock radio. I could only find one other of these to hit the market in the pass 5 years. It is all original and free of chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. It is missing three of the little clock knobs. (easy enough to find) Needs a good cleaning. This is a very good candidate for a total restore. GE Tombstone Wood Table top Radio, Model A-52,5 tubes. Case is in solid condition will need refinished, narrow strip of veneer missing along back edge of radio. For sale this beautifully restored classic receiver from ZENITH, manufactured in 1955, with its attractive design. All details were taken care for a beautiful finished look. In this set, the old and damaged bakelite surface of the cabinet was repaired and painted with a more striking color to enhance its appearance. This set in blue and orange. The components in the front panel were restored, getting the results you can see. Internally the radio looks excellent. In the internal part of the chassis, all the old film and electrolytic capacitors were replaced by new components, as well as the defective mica and ceramic capacitors and out of tolerance resistors; respecting their original location and arrangement in order to maintain the originality of the wiring. The wires in bad condition were also replaced. A thorough cleaning of the entire chassis was completed. An identical reproduction of the tube layout label was placed on the back of the chassis. All the components in the cabinet were completely disassembled for an effective cleaning. The cabinet was painted, fully restored. In the front panel the lettering was completely restored. The knobs were cleaned. The mark was painted. The pointer was painted. The back cover was cleaned. All the components in the chassis were cleaned. The chassis itself was deeply cleaned. The main tuning capacitor was cleaned and lubricated. The old selenium rectifier was replaced with a 1N4007 diode and a dropping resistor was added to achieve the operational voltages. Electrolytic capacitors, film capacitors and defective mica capacitors were replaced with new components. The filter electrolytic capacitor can was re stuffed with new components. Resistors out of tolerance were replaced with new components. Switches, pots and electric wafers were cleaned and lubed. Vacuum tubes were checked and the defective tubes were replaced with NOS tube. The tube base sockets were cleaned. A new polarized electric cord was installed. Electric wires in bad condition were replaced. The dialing mechanism was completely disassembled, cleaned and lubricated. The tube layout label in the back of the receiver is a new reproduction. Size: 14 X 8 X 8 inches.
