This is a nicely restored Echophone EC-113 Receiver, BC/SW table radio. Echophone radios were the low end of the Hallicrafters line for the unfamiliar. This is a 6 tube radio with a built in loop antenna that covers the broadcast band as well as short wave in three bands from 550 kHz to 22 MHz, IF 455kHz. All capacitors were replaced, tubes tested (one tube replaced), power cable replaced, and cabinet refinished to give it that brand new look. All bands were checked and they receive. There is a small crack in the lower left corner of the dial cover. It’s barely noticeable but it is original. According to the books, this radio was built from 1948 to 1953 and is quite rare. I will be at the New England vintage Electronics Expo on Sunday March 5th up in Wyndham New Hampshire this weekend.
