Vintage GE 250 Portable Tube Radio – WWII Steel Suitcase Style – c1940s… A totally awesome old WWII era, General Electric Portable Tube Radio, Model 250 with a gray hammered steel finish and a suitcase style body. It is from a long time local collector and has been displayed with his collection for many many years. It is in pretty nice clean condition, the outside of the case looks mostly clean, there is a spill stain down the back hatch where you would have added? Water to the battery. There is tarnishing inside the top by the tuner & knobs also. There is a Willard 2 volt Radio-25-2 battery still in place inside, along with the AC cord. The handle and both hatches work and are in-line, closing/opening properly and the top hatch lock works as designed.
