I recently picked up a few radios from a long time radio collector. Most were in working order and very clean. I will be listing them over the next few weeks so keep watching. Be sure to look at all pictures. Vintage RCA Victor 1-R-81 Art Deco Bakelite Working in great shape!! This is a superb looking and playing radio from the late 1950′s. I spent very little time prepping this radio for the pictures. It was ultra clean. I took the opportunity to take pictures with the chassis removed to show how nice the interior is. The dial is also in great shape and complete with the full circle and both pointers. There are no cracks, chips or big nicks on the radio. There may be some minute blemishes. The knobs on the left side for tone and on/off volume are not original. There is some back round noise from the speakers and the dial points incorrectly. It needs to be pulled off and readjusted. I did not test the Phono input. The plug is chipped and has a small slit in the first 6. You should determine whether to replace it or not. If your plans are to listen on a long term basis it may be best to have a qualified technician go through the internals. Especially notice the cleanliness of the interior. It measure approximately 17″ W X 9″ T X 10 D. Very heavy weight is over 19#.
