This radio receives stations very well with good clear sound and volume with no hum using just the loop antenna inside the case with no need for an external antenna. It has been successfully bench tested on and off with at least 12 hours on for days and should continue to play loud and clear for many more years. The case is a mottled walnut brown with a dial that lights up when the radio is on. The case has no cracks, chips or odors. I have thoroughly washed and buffed the case and it looks remarkable for a 72 year old. The knobs match and are original. The original hardboard back is still in good condition and has been reinforced inside. A reproduced label on the bottom shows the location of the tubes. The inside chassis has been thoroughly cleaned; the volume control de-oxidized for smooth volume changes and all moving controls lubricated. I have replaced all old electrolytic and film capacitors in the chassis with new modern capacitors and have checked all resistors. Brittle or bare wiring has been replaced or re-insulated. All 5 easily found tubes have been tested and questionable tubes have been replaced. The line cord has been replaced with a new 18 gauge cord with molded, polarized plug. The speaker is in great condition. The radio has been aligned and successfully bench tested on and off with at least 12 hours on for days and should continue to play loud and clear for many more years. The radio size is approximately 61/4 high by 10½ wide by 6 deep and weighs almost 6 pounds.
