“THE SPICE CHEST” model 484. A vintage tube radio made by Guild. I believe it was made in the early 1950′s. It was made in CALIFORNIA USA! This vintage radio is an adorable item from days gone by. It is designed to look like a small spice cabinet. Opening the shutter style doors, however, reveals a tube radio. The cabinet stands 13.5″ tall, 12″ wide and 12 deep. A hum is heard when plugged in. The cord is in good shape with no shorts or wear. This was the extent of its testing. The wood is still in good shape with some signs of age. The bottom wood has one split that isnt very noticeable. The shutter look really cool. The bottom two louvers have to be manually closed. The back cover is in great shape and not warped. The insides could use a cleaning. It will be protected well and insured. Let me know if you have further questions.
