Kenwood TS-830S Vintage Tube Hybrid Vintage Ham Radio Transceiver SN 4030196. This is a nice rig. It has been well cared for by it’s previous owner, as I hope is evident in the photos. There are only a few light scuffs on the cabinet, and the faceplate looks great. The display isn’t as bright as we’ve seen on other radios, but I certainly wouldn’t call it “dim”. Operationally, this one is ready to go! We tested it out and found everything to be working as you would expect. Please note that no microphone is included, so you will need to supply your own. The manual can be downloaded for free online. Please realize that this is a vintage piece of equipment, and unless specifically noted above, it has not been fully restored with new components. It will inevitably need maintenance, however it’s impossible to know whether that will be next week or a few years down the road. Unless you are capable of doing this work yourself (or have access to someone who can), we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you.
