This radio receives stations with good clear sound and volume with no hum using just the loop antenna inside the case. The bakelite case is a mottled walnut brown with a red dial that lights up when the radio is on. The case has no cracks or chips but has a few small marks expected of a 70 year old. I have thoroughly washed and buffed the case and it looks great. The knobs match and are original. The hardboard back has been re-created to keep fingers out of the radio and the bottom label shows the location of the tubes. The inside chassis has been thoroughly cleaned; the volume control de-oxidized for smooth volume changes and all moving controls lubricated. I have replaced all old electrolytic and film capacitors in the chassis with new modern capacitors and have checked all resistors. Brittle or bare wiring has been replaced or re-insulated. All 5 easily found tubes have been tested and questionable tubes have been replaced. The line cord has been replaced with a new 18 gauge cord with molded, polarized plug. The repaired speaker is in good condition. The radio has been successfully bench tested for days and should continue to play loud and clear for many more years.
