This is a rare Fada 602 tube radio/phonograph. It is circa 1947. This piece is in great shape! The wood is excellent. There is one small place in the back bottom side about the size of a pencil eraser that is dug in but it is hard to see. There are a few scuffs and scratches that are minor. I do not know if the finish is original or not but it looks very nice. The radio works great! The dial dial/faceplate is perfect. The wooden original knobs are on the unit and in great shape. The turntable does turn. However the drop mechanism to drop the records is not working. When I put it in storage it used to work so I know it is at least all there. The turntable is 78 rpm. When the amp is switched to phonograph, I can hear it playing but it is not near as loud as the radio. Might be the needle or cartridge, not sure. One of the corner springs that help prevent skipping has come out but is there. The grill cloth looks great but does have a couple of small spots that look to be tiny tears. The interior of the record mech is in great shape. The tonearm assembly is in great shape. There is a piano hinge that holds the lid on. There is also a working arm inside that holds up lid. This is an awesome piece for a collection. Please ask questions before purchasing. I have done my best to describe it. It will be packed well and will be heavy. Thank you for looking and God bless.
