Vintage very rare Beautiful FADA Tube Radio In V. G. Condition & Works

Estimated age 1930/40s (90yrs). As you review photos, be sure to zoom in to see visual quality/condition. I took back cover off & took photos FADA mfg. Label reads Model #68 you can also see FADA stamp on internal components. Label reads FADA Electric Co. Also the metal chassis is stamped 68-1869. Beautiful two tone tiger stripes wood cabinet rare grain pattern. I like to point out imperfections on this old usage radio. The top wood has some age wood surface checking areas maybe the old varnished coating. I replace the back wood cover. Due to deterioration of original. Has some light age wear marks. Electric cord and plastic plug-in housing piece is also in very good condition. I plugged into electrical outlet. The dial light came on – humming sound – and when turning pointer, it picked up a few stations, but just static type noise. My radio collection is for display. I’m not a repair or restorer of these classical beauties. Where are you going to find one like this one, very scarce. X 9″High X 8″ Wide.

Vintage Old Beau. Rare Butterscotch Bakelite FADA Radio

Model number 1000, Bakelite marble tone surface art deco design. Tubes operated with electric cord plug. All original, please review pictures, and zoom in on. As you can see, there is no cracks or deep scratches nor replaced parts or modifications done. Almost flawless, except for one area on the plastic dial face at the top has blistering on the top edges. I believe this can be replaced.. The on/off switch and dial movement knobs work. I do not try to turn on due to age and old tubes operating system. My radio are for display only.

Vintage Fada Cloud Polystyrene Tube Radio Alabaster Original & Complete 845

Vintage Fada Cloud Polystyrene Tube Radio Alabaster Original & Complete 845

If you’re an uncompromising collector of antique technology, make sure to check out all my listings after you look at this one. I don’t think you’ll find a better, broader or more balanced assortment of technical antiques anywhere — hundreds of listings each year, almost all of them featuring eye-popping “gee whiz” gadgetry in exceptional original condition. Here’s a nice Fada “Cloud” radio that dates to the mid-40′s. The radio is original throughout, including the back and the grill cloth card. No cabinet damage, just scattered scuffs in the surface of the polystyrene, most of which are on the bottom. On the sides of the radio are spots/areas of brown residue of some type that I have not attempted to remove. As you can see in the photos, the radio has not been touched in decades. It will need some cleaning and some polishing, along with necessary/appropriate electrical updating and possibly some new tubes. It is NOT working. Dial string is working, and the dial cover is clear. On/off volume switch appears to be working — mechanically at least. When the radio is plugged in, it does not power up. To repeat: this is a non-working radio. It is being offered for collecting/historical purposes only. If you want a working radio, and you don’t have the skills or resources required to undertake restoration or repair, this radio is not for you.

Fada Radio Vintage Cloud 845 Nice Works, Read Descrip, See Pictures

This vintage FADA 845 Cloud radio is a great find for collectors. Made in the United States, it features a nice vintage display radio. The description is accurate and the pictures are clear. This was my grandfather’s radio. I cleaned the interior, replaced the light bulbs and replaced the power chord (since power chords deteriorate over time and could be a safety issue). We are the owners of this rare find. THIS VINTAGE FADA 845 CLOUD IS A VERY NICE DISPLAY RADIO LOOKS VERY NICE BUT IS NOT PERFECT IT IS OLD SOME FADING OF CASE AND LIGHT SCRATCHES COULD BE PRESENT SEE PICTURES ASK QUESTIONS PLEASE.. BOTTOM HAS SOME MARKS SEE PICTURES PLEASE!!! AFTER A LITTLE WARMING UP WHEN TURNED ON SOUND CAME ON I PICKED UP A FEW CHANNELS CAN TELL OLDER SPEAKER BUT WAS VERY COOL TO LISTEN TO. TWO SHORT WIRES HANGING OUT OF CASE BACK AT BOTTOM I THINK WAS FOR A ANTENNA, I WOULD THINK IT SHOULD BE PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED AND CHECKED OUT!!! CASE DISPLAYS VERY NICE!!!
