As you can see, there is no cracks or deep scratches nor replaced parts or modifications done. Almost flawless, except for one area on the plastic dial face at the top has blistering on the top edges. I believe this can be replaced.. The on/off switch and dial movement knobs work. I do not try to turn on due to age and old tubes operating system. My radio are for display only.

Here’s a nice Fada “Cloud” radio that dates to the mid-40′s. The radio is original throughout, including the back and the grill cloth card. No cabinet damage, just scattered scuffs in the surface of the polystyrene, most of which are on the bottom. On the sides of the radio are spots/areas of brown residue of some type that I have not attempted to remove. As you can see in the photos, the radio has not been touched in decades. It will need some cleaning and some polishing, along with necessary/appropriate electrical updating and possibly some new tubes. It is NOT working. Dial string is working, and the dial cover is clear. On/off volume switch appears to be working — mechanically at least. When the radio is plugged in, it does not power up. To repeat: this is a non-working radio. It is being offered for collecting/historical purposes only. If you want a working radio, and you don’t have the skills or resources required to undertake restoration or repair, this radio is not for you.

This vintage FADA 845 Cloud radio is a great find for collectors. Made in the United States, it features a nice vintage display radio. The description is accurate and the pictures are clear. This was my grandfather’s radio. I cleaned the interior, replaced the light bulbs and replaced the power chord (since power chords deteriorate over time and could be a safety issue). We are the owners of this rare find. THIS VINTAGE FADA 845 CLOUD IS A VERY NICE DISPLAY RADIO LOOKS VERY NICE BUT IS NOT PERFECT IT IS OLD SOME FADING OF CASE AND LIGHT SCRATCHES COULD BE PRESENT SEE PICTURES ASK QUESTIONS PLEASE.. Antique Fada Butterscotch Catalin Bakelite Tube Radio ESTATE Fresh FIND! We have 3 Estate fresh radio’s! Something that you never see anymore, (see our other listings)!!! This is an estate find, I don’t usually sell radios but this is so special! The glass dial cover does have a small piece in the left hand corner. Also, as you can see the material cover is as is.
