Up for sale is a 1936 Grunow antique tube radio model 1291 in a dark walnut console with rounded front columns, vertical wood grill bars and a supersized black Teledial in brass escutcheon. Radio was fully recapped, tubes tested and replaced as needed. Chassis was cleaned and controls lubricated. New dial lights, external antenna and power cord were installed. SW is more active late at night. Some limited activities on Police band. Cabinet was partially stripped and refinished. There are some wood and finish blemishes, small veneer chips and few areas of veneer buckling (see pictures). New vintage grill cloth was installed. All original knobs are present and operate properly. Paper stickers are present. Dimensions are 28″Wx14″Dx42H It weighs about 67lbs (unpacked).
