Vintage antique Console tube radio Wood wooden shortwave Zenith Philco RCA. We had a group of old tube radios and tvs at some point. This was removed and the cabinets which were moldy and deteriorating were tossed. So I don’t know the exact model or brand. Some of the electronic part/s may continue for another 50 years without need of replacement and some electronic part/s may fail a few days after you start using the item. Out of a large collection of Vintage Tube, Solid State and rare electronics. FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION -Vintage- SPARTON SHORT WAVE Tube Radio Model 6-26 (6AM26-a) TABLETOP WOODEN CONSOLE 1946-48. Sparton Tube Radio Model 6-26, THIS STILL WORKS! -LIGHTS COME ON AND PLAYS WITH SOME NORMAL HUM. (1 IS MISSING AND 2 BROWN FELT PIECES THAT ARE BEHIND THE KNOBS). The Model number on the chassis is 626. Radio Museum lists it as 6-26. THE LABEL ON THE INSIDE RIGHT SHOWS 6AM26-A. Cabinet is really good with some blemishes. THE LABEL ALSO SHOWS THE SPARKS-WITHINGTON CO. (THERE IS COME FRAYED, CHIPPING OFF INSULATION ON THE WIRE GOING TO THE SPEAKER) BUT SPEAKER DOES WORK. MAD E IN THE 1940S AND STILL WORKS! PERFECT FOR THE COLLECTORS AND AS A CONVERSATION PIECE! – ZOOM IN ON THIS ONE! I WILL PACKAGE THIS FOR SAFE TRAVELS. THE RADIO MEASURES 19 5/8″ LONG BY 8 3/4″ WIDE BY 8 3/4 HIGH.

I DID NOT GET ANYTHING ON THE SHORT WAVE… BUT I DID NOT HAVE A GOOD AERIAL. TUNING IS SMOOTH ACROSS THE DIAL. ONE FLAW: THE DIAL HAS BEEN SHORTENED ON BOTH ENDS.
