If you are looking for a restored old-time tube radio that can be played as often as you like and for as long as you like, please read on. This radio set has been restored to it’s original condition and is ready to bring another lifetime’s listening pleasure to it’s proud new owner. You will be satisfied with this radio set because no detail inside OR outside has been overlooked in order to deliver both “dependable performance” and appealing cabinetry. Every effort has been made to offer a practically new radio, performing as it did originally, and to be maintenance free for quite some time. The bakelite cabinet is in exceptional condition without any cracks and has been hand rubbed to restore it’s original showroom finish. The Mercedes Styled speaker grille front is original to this cabinet; EXTREMELY RARE to find without severe damage. The brass trim accent nose has been polished and overlacquered to prevent future corrosion. This model measures 12″ X 7″ X 10high. The large 7 speaker was newly re-coned and delivers. A thorough clean job. Check out all the photos. The electronics inside the chassis have been totally overhauled. This radio uses 5 tubes. All 5 tubes are “new old stock” and the dial light bulbs are new and rated at 3000 hours. There is a RCA phono jack and Radio / Phono switch in the rear of the chassis so you may plug in your old style amplifier-less RCA phonograph turntable. In addition, as part of this sale, I will enclose a cable to attach this radio to your MP3 player, see photo; instructions are included. Following the restoration, all radio circuits were re-tuned to their specification using instrumentation. The end result is an old fashioned tube radio giving excellent reception across the dial, playing with warmth and depth. Thoroughly bench tested, this vintage RCA radio set is ready for it’s new home. I will double box using new cartons so that your new radio arrives undamaged in transit. Just in case you read this far: Yes, it required 3 junkers in order to restore the RCA 9×561 that’s for sale today. It’s 2024, 1950 radio sets are hard to find in restore condition. Consequently, the effort to restore these fine old radios is getting expensive.
