Atwater Kent model 90 Art Deco Radio. This is one of the most historic and sought after radios around. Atwater Kent is famous for making beautifully engineered and crafted radios. The Atwater Kent 90 is a perfect example of Art Deco at its best. This radio is in great condition inside and out. There are the usual minor signs of age on the case, which if re-varnished, would disappear but it doesn’t need that in my view. The inside of the radio looks like the day it was made. I did notice that the back information plate said 110volts and the radio was fitted with a European plug. On inspection the radio has been plugged into 220volts. The transformer shows signs of overheating. That is all the damage I can see. I’ve not tested this radio but I would guess that after having the transformer re-wound/ replaced and the usual few tubes to replace this radio would work well. The radio will be packed in a MDF lined box and surrounded by 2 of foam. The radio is 20 inches high, by 16 inches wide and 11inches deep. It weighs 31.5 pounds.
