Usually AC line-powered with a permanent magnet or electro-dynamic moving coil. They are considered rare. However, “Junior” was not a single, universal brand name used only by one company. Multiple, unrelated manufacturers during that time used “Junior” in their product names or model lines, such as Philco and Jessie French.
