For your consideration , here’s a nice old Century 4-78 four-tube cathedral radio from, I would guess, somewhere around 1932, which is the year it was designed. I’m fairly sure it will be a quite a while before you’ll see another one due to the scarce information available related to it. Apparently the Century Company in Chicago was a contractor that produced radios for other companies. I replaced two tubes and worked on the cabinet and replaced the grill cloth and the two mismatched non-original knobs with two matched non-original knobs. I couldn’t locate a picture of this model to see what the original grill cloth and knobs looked like. The controls work just as they should. The green dial graphic is original. Please look over the pictures carefully to make sure the condition of the radio is acceptable to you. 15″ H x 12″ W x 9 D. Please don’t mess with the electronics unless you’re experienced working on vintage radios due to the presence of high voltages. Of course, please let me know immediately if you have a problem. I’d like you to enjoy this radio as much as I have.
