This old Heathkit is in pretty good cosmetic condition. The cabinet is in good shape with relatively minimal wear (one small dent on top, see photo), and the faceplate looks great. From what we can tell, it’s all original with no modifications. Two things to note. First, the band switch is very stiff and feels like it will need attention. Secondly, we had to cut the power cord off, as it was badly frayed and not safe to use as it was. All in all, this will make an excellent candidate for restoration! This unit is believed to have not been used in many years, likely decades, and with this in mind we have made no attempt to power-on this unit or test in any way. Unless you are qualified and capable of working on this unit yourself, or are willing to pay a qualified individual to do the work for you, we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you.
