Model Eight Tube Radio. 1960s High Fidelity, Mid-Century Modern. Made in the USA! Fully restored and professionally aligned 100% Original. (except for new capacitors and tubes as noted). The KLH Model Eight was Henry Kloss’s first electronic product. It may be the world’s first true high fidelity table radio, and it is the ONLY tube radio with an acoustic suspension speaker. This example is from the middle of the production run. It has black knobs, solid walnut veneer cabinets and a dual 3 speaker drivers. Receiver is SN 5281 and the speaker is SN 5981. This radio has all of the original labels, the original speaker plug (this is often missing) and original speaker grille cloth (please note some blotches on the cloth). Included is a clean bound reproduction of the Owner’s Manual. This radio has been meticulously restored. The cabinets were sanded down to bare wood and fresh lacquer was applied. The big can cap is a NEW electrolytic. All other electrolytics have been replaced with NEW film and Paper-in-Oil caps. ALL tubes were replaced. The power cord was replaced with an appropriate non-polarized NOS cord. Stick-on feet added to speaker bottom for protection. Receiver was taken to a professional technician for complete testing and alignment. Just contact me first. I will DELIVER for free within a 30 mile radius of Vernon, NJ (but not to NYC). Each component wrapped in bubble wrap and boxed in its own carton, then both boxes packed within a new master carton, cushioned with packing material. Final box weight is about 22 pounds.
