Vintage 1946 Belmont Grantline 606A Tube Radio Restored. Up for offer vintage 1946 Grantline model 606 series A tube radio. The radio was made by the Belmont Radio Co for Grantline the radio is the same as a Belmont model 6D119. This classic radio has the original paint a few chips that have been touched up. Overall the radio is super clean the ivory colored cabinet does not have any cracks in it and has a nice shine to it. Radio works great picks up stations strong up and down the dial. The dial plastic is clear and the light works. The back cover is not original. The following was done to restore the radio. All tubes where tested weak and bad tubes replaced. Filter capacitors replaced with new modern equivalent Old wax capacitors replaced with new modern equivalent. Resistors checked and out of tolerance resistors replaced. Wiring inspected replaced or re coated bad wires. Cleaned volume control with contact cleaner. Lubed knobs and tuning capacitors bearings. Installed new modern polarized power cord.
