Vintage 1947 Bendix Tube Radio Model 636A Superheteroyne Working in good condition, but I cut the cord off as the cord was full of dry rot and bare wires and would not sell that way. I tested it by alligator clipping new plug wires as shown in picture. New owner will need to replace it as I do not work on them. I just wanted to see if it was working as also shown in short video. Very nice shell in great shiny condition. You would have to look hard to find in this vintage condition. Bendix Radio Division; Baltimore, MD. United States of America (USA). This is a Philco Jr Model 81 cathedral radio from 1933. The tuning works even though the dial scale itself is cracked and damaged. The cabinet is rough. There is finish loss, scratching and wear throughout the exterior. Some wiring has been updated and you can see electrical tape on parts of the chassis. Replacement tubes have been installed. This would make a good candidate for someone who wants a working chassis to pair with a better cabinet, or who wants to take on a full restoration. All three original knobs are there and the chassis appears otherwise complete.

Vintage Hallicrafters World-Wide TW-1000 8-Band Tube Portable Radio. Offered here is a vintage Hallicrafters World-Wide model TW-1000 multiband tube portable radio, a classic early-1950s shortwave set designed for home or travel use. This is the desirable suitcase-style portable with the large world map inside the lid, telescoping antenna, and multiband dial layout that made these Hallicrafters sets so distinctive. Research indicates the TW-1000 is an 8-band tube portable covering standard broadcast, longwave, and multiple shortwave bands. Period references describe it as a 5-tube superheterodyne design with operation from household current or batteries, making it one of Hallicrafters’ more collectible portable world-band radios from the era. Radio works and sounds very good. Receives and plays well. The dial/face light is currently out and will need replacement. Honest vintage cosmetic wear consistent with age and use. Scuffs, edge wear, and finish wear to the exterior cabinet. Carry handle shows visible wear/aging. Knobs and front trim show age-related discoloration and wear. Please review all photos carefully for exact cosmetic condition. About the Light / Bulb. The dial light is not currently working. This radio will need a pilot/dial bulb replacement. The Hallicrafters World-Wide series has long appealed to collectors of vintage shortwave and tube portables, especially sets with the iconic world-map lid graphic and original multiband dial. The TW-1000 is part of that sought-after family and makes an excellent display piece as well as a usable vintage radio. This vintage FADA 845 Cloud radio is a great find for collectors. Made in the United States, it features a nice vintage display radio. The description is accurate and the pictures are clear. This was my grandfather’s radio. I cleaned the interior, replaced the light bulbs and replaced the power chord (since power chords deteriorate over time and could be a safety issue). We are the owners of this rare find. THIS VINTAGE FADA 845 CLOUD IS A VERY NICE DISPLAY RADIO LOOKS VERY NICE BUT IS NOT PERFECT IT IS OLD SOME FADING OF CASE AND LIGHT SCRATCHES COULD BE PRESENT SEE PICTURES ASK QUESTIONS PLEASE.. BOTTOM HAS SOME MARKS SEE PICTURES PLEASE!!! AFTER A LITTLE WARMING UP WHEN TURNED ON SOUND CAME ON I PICKED UP A FEW CHANNELS CAN TELL OLDER SPEAKER BUT WAS VERY COOL TO LISTEN TO. TWO SHORT WIRES HANGING OUT OF CASE BACK AT BOTTOM I THINK WAS FOR A ANTENNA, I WOULD THINK IT SHOULD BE PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED AND CHECKED OUT!!! CASE DISPLAYS VERY NICE!!! PLENTY OF PICTURES INCLUDED..
