The Radio Corporation of America made many mid-century radios, this pre-war beauty features a nicely marbleized brown bakelite cabinet with molded raised lines in the streamlined style. The foil dial face is super clean with original dial pointer. This example has the seldom seen dial face with the RCA dog “His Master’s Voice” logo. See this link for this more info on this famous logo. This is a model #45-X-11 made circa 1940 just before World War II. Cabinet is in excellent condition with a nice louvered front and classic “D” dial. Power cord, weak tubes and capacitors have been replaced. Radio measures approximately10″W x 7″H x 7D. A very nice example of this pre-War RCA radio. The case does not have any cosmetic issues like cracks, chips or hairline cracks, only a few light scratches. The radio is playing fine, with no annoying filter hum.
