Estate find condition just as found- Looks to be a crack on the corner seem. Please refer to pictures. Tested, I was only able to get a loud buzzing sound. Knobs all move as they should, tuner needle moves as it should. Case is in great condition for age. If you have any questions about these items, please feel free to ask. This is a beautiful little radio. I cannot find much information on the name Raola. There is a metal tag on the back that says Radio corporation of America, General electric company, Westinghouse electric and mfg company. The speaker says Rola. It is 11 inches wide and 15 inches tall. I cant get any shortwave and not sure if the band Knob works. It doesn’t seem to make any difference when I turn it. It says police and shortwave in the dial window but I have heard that a lot of times they use the same dial for all even if they dont have SW. Excellent condition and plays well with no hum. I bought a collection of radios, radio parts and testing equipment from the widow of a long time collector. Most of his radios and testers worked. Some I do not know how to test and I will tell you so in my listings. Please see my other auctions and follow me as i sell this collection. The converter does power on and the backlit dial works as it should. The wood cabinet is very solid and the finish is really, really nice! It measures approximately 17 3/4 by 12 1/4 by 10 1/4. As I understand it, these were made to add shortwave to your existing set. These would have been used with the early Philco cathedrals (70, 90, etc) or on top of an early console. This set was manufactured by the Philadelphia Storage Battery Company in Philadelphia, PA! Please be sure to check out my many other vintage radios that I have for sale! This is a battery-powered “farm set” and, as such, I do not have the proper equipment to power on and test this set. The radio features that awesome Zenith black dial face. The cabinet finish is really nice! All of the knobs/dials seem to be working as they should be. Also included are the ORIGINAL OPWNERS MANUAL and tag! See the 7th picture for details. This radio had been in storage for a number of years so Im sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning. It measures approximately 13 1/2 by 10 by 19. For sale is a Drake SW-4A shortwave receiver with auxiliary speaker model MS. These pieces are in good used condition and good working order. They have been inspected by a technician. He found that a 26.090 MHZ crystal (marked with an X inside the cabinet) is needed for the 15.0 MHZ band. Other than that all bands are receiving correctly.
