Both knobs turn smoothly and properly and the dial indicator functions properly as well. The power cord is also new and in excellent condition. The bakelite body is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Unique design with the chassis installed upside down in the body. The rear cardboard panel is a new replacement. Great looking radio that will be a fine addition to your collection. Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.

This listing is for a Vintage Sentinel 284-1 Art Deco Tube Radio. There are no cracks or chips to the Bakelite case, the knobs and tuning dial work, but one is cracked in half. The back is intact. The chassis looks good. The original power is in good shape. It has been tested and works great. It takes 15 seconds for the tubes to warm up, but once they are warm, it sounds great. Please see the photos for additional details and overall condition.

Plugged in and it slowly gets a very load hum. No further testing done. No cracks, but common scuffs and marks… Not sure if knobs are original? One back cover it is marked ” Civilian Defense “.
