THIS IS IN NEAR PERFECT CONDITION EXCEPT ON THE VERY BOTTOM THERE IS A LARGE CHIP (SEE LAST PICTURE) / LUCKILY ITS ON THE BOTTOM BACK SO YOU WONT NOTICE IT ON A SHELF / PLUGGED IT IN AND IT LIGHTS UP THE DIALS TURN NICELY BUT THERE IS ONLY A LOUD HUM, I COUNLD NOT GET ANY STATIONS. I do try to get the colors correct but they may look different on your monitor. The items I list for sale are just items I have found in one of these ways. The items are listed as found! Both knobs turn smoothly and properly and the dial indicator functions properly as well. The power cord is also new and in excellent condition. The bakelite body is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Unique design with the chassis installed upside down in the body. The rear cardboard panel is a new replacement. Vintage Truetone Tube Radio Sentinel 1941 D-1001 Ingraham Cabinet Series A. The radio picks up stations clearly, when powering on there were popping noises that went away after warmed up. This listing is for a Vintage Sentinel 284-1 Art Deco Tube Radio. There are no cracks or chips to the Bakelite case, the knobs and tuning dial work, but one is cracked in half. The back is intact. The chassis looks good. The original power is in good shape. It has been tested and works great. It takes 15 seconds for the tubes to warm up, but once they are warm, it sounds great.
