We continue by using many coats of Mohawk brand lacquers and toners applied in the same manner as when the radio was originally finished in the factory. We use nitrocellulose piano lacquer which is applied through a professional HVLP turbine spray system in a climate-controlled room. Nitrocellulose lacquer is very thin. We also apply very thin coats. This allows the lacquer to seep into the grain and not cover it up. This radio is in such good condition it looks like it was made last week – mint – pristine – highly collectible and as good as it gets. The solid plascon case is spotless – showing little wear at all and is very shiny. This is a working radio ready to play, display and enjoy – the sound is very good with no hum. It is playing as I write this. As with all my radios it is electrically sound – the tubes are strong, the capacitors have been replaced and the cord plug has been polarized. This radio has a printed circuit board (see picture #7) which will makes it durable, thus it will last much longer than other vintage radios which are hand wired and soldered. Featuring super funky 50′s styling, it has the RCA Victor name and logo on the front. It has a large a clear dial. The tuning knob and the off/on/volume switch – are both in excellent condition.
