This radio looks and plays great. I replaced the multi-section filter capacitors. Tuned the IF transformers and tested/replaced tubes as necessary (2). Also de-oxidized the volume and tone controls. It is a 6 tube octal radio. That means one more stage of RF gain over the usual “All American Five”. Sensitivity is great and lots of volume. This is pretty as it is, but there are some surface marks on top. The decorative wrap around band is in perfect condition. Refinish the cabinet and you will have close to a 10. The only fault is the back cover is weak where it has been bent. Important to note is that the knobs are original, the dial face is clear, with the gaskets intact. The lower bezel is also there and it is usually missing from these. All in all it is a great specimen. Full Restored + Serviced! Very Impressive & Powerful Sound!! This splendid tube radio was serviced and restored. All tubes were checked and defective replaced. Dial bulbs, critical capacitors, elkos and defective resistors were replaced. The magic eye is new, all moving parts were re-oiled. It was all adjusted. Contacts were refreshed, it was cleaned and polished, technically checked, etc. Grundig 5010 vintage tube radio model from 1952/53. Excellent Condition for its age. The 10 tubes and the 3x original speakers are in a great working condition. Tubes: EF80, EC92, EF85, ECH81, EM34, EAF42, EABC80, ECC40, EL12, EL12. Voltage regulator works from 110 to 240V. It´s ready to plug in. It is possible to connect external speakers and players like mp3 and other. Original varnish (not revarnished). The wood and varnishing is in a excellent condition for its age with any very small dents and scratches here and there, but not visible. It is cleaned and polished. German tube radio , built 1954/55. In the famous SABA factory, Villingen, black forest. Amazing & Powerfull Sound!! This radio was completely restored. Tubes were checked and bad tubes were replaced. All critical capacitors, all elkos and any resistors were replaced, scale lamps were replaced, the keyboard lamps were replaced. The chassis were cleaned. All individual parts were cleaned, the wooden cabinet was cleaned and polished, all mechanical parts were cleaned and oiled, all contacts and potis were refreshed, technically checked, perfect working etc. SABA Meersburg W5 Stereo tube radio model from 1954/55. The radio is in perfect working order. The cabinet and the radio is in a top condition. The radio has 3 speakers in front. It has a fantastic tube sound, very clear, powerfull, warm and loud. It has 7 tubes. The tubes and the original speakers are in perfect working condition. The magic eye EM80 is new. Voltage regulator works from 110 to 220V. It´s ready to plug in. The radio works on all bands, all functions are guaranteed. If you are looking for a radio with a spectacular sound and a nice look this radio, it would be the right choice.
