However, for the moment, it just hums and is thus for repair. This gigantic radio measures 17″ x 12″ x 17 and weighs a sturdy 28 pounds! Up for sale is this ultra rare Atwater Kent model 825 radio, made in 1935. It is in excellent condition with minor surface wear. This radio is capable of both AC and DC power, it is also capable of tuning into both regular radio stations and police stations. It is complete with all original parts and pieces, except for the power cord which was replaced. It even has the original labels on the back and bottom, and its original backboard. The radio measures 11.4 inches wide, 8 inches tall and 6.2 inches front to back. This particular radio hasn’t come up for sale online in years, get it while you can! Found this old radio in a deceased relatives home. I plugged it in and it works, as seen in the last picture. All knobs are still on and it looks to me to be in original condition. I hear static on the selector knob. There is an antennae cord attached. The dials all move smoothly and it seems to have been very well taken care of. I have given you all the information I have. This is a beautiful little radio. I cannot find much information on the name Raola. There is a metal tag on the back that says Radio corporation of America, General electric company, Westinghouse electric and mfg company. The speaker says Rola. It is 11 inches wide and 15 inches tall. I cant get any shortwave and not sure if the band Knob works. It doesn’t seem to make any difference when I turn it. It says police and shortwave in the dial window but I have heard that a lot of times they use the same dial for all even if they dont have SW. Excellent condition and plays well with no hum. I bought a collection of radios, radio parts and testing equipment from the widow of a long time collector. Most of his radios and testers worked. Some I do not know how to test and I will tell you so in my listings. Please see my other auctions and follow me as i sell this collection. Vintage Silvertone Gold Dial A. M. Shortwave Police Band Wood Tube Radio 4403

It is a six tube a. Foreign and police band radio. When plugged in the dial light lights up and there is a slight hum. It looks like there is a newer cord on it and somebody probably replaced the grill cloth. The wooden case is in great condition with very minimal blemishes. There is one small area on top that a small section of wood is slightly raised (see pic). All the knobs turn, however the one for tuning does not turn the dial. Dimensions are approximately 17 x 9 x 10 inches. Overall this radio displays very nicely and i think would be a great candidate for restoration or just a beautiful piece to set on a shelf and look at.
