The receiver was manufactured in proven tube technology. New and ground breaking, but at the same time also the foreseeable end of tube technology was the use of transistors in equalizer and amplifier. Four powerful transistors (ad149) in a push-pull circuit bring about 15w output power per channel. Telefunken made the radio opus 5650 mx for the us market. Line voltage setting for 125v and 220vac. The controls and the scale are written in english. The magic eye glows very discreetly in a green shade. The reception of stereo stations is indicated by the illuminated lettering fm stereo. The enclosure has a retractable flap, the dial and the controls hide behind when not in operation. This radio is a real eye-catcher in any living room. The housing with its age of fifty fits perfectly in today’s living rooms. The opus 5650 mx is a true rarity and a real gem. Through the careful technical and optical restoration, it gives an authentic impression of radio technology that time. In order to achieve the optimal functions i have the radio extensively restored. Because of their age especially capacitors change their values and thus degrade the reception and reproduction characteristics. These components were therefore replaced. The tubes have been tested and have very good results. The housing is in a very good condition, there are only very small age-appropriate traces of use. Dimensions: 650 x 255 x 270mm. 6 tubes: ecc85, ech81, ef89, eaf801, ecf80, em87 and 19 transistors. Number of circuits: 8am, 12fm, superheterodyne principle. Power supply: 125 to 220vac. Up to the present time especially tube radios from germany are coveted collector’s items. It should be noted that the former technique can not be compared with today’s receivers. Antique tube radios bring a harmonious, warm and natural sound in the living room. Within fifty years radios were further developed technically and are now almost exclusively digital. But the ears are still analog.. A few words about me. I have a professional apprenticeship to master the radio and television crafts. My training in the craft began in 1967 as the tube technology was at its peak. In the course of almost 50 years, i have repaired thousands of devices expertly. My radio that i offer here was in my collection for decades. Each radio has been carefully restored and maintained. With this radio, i would like to offer a special listening pleasure. I will gladly answer your questions about tube radios. The radio i have very elaborate and professionally restored. The chassis has been cleaned, mechanical parts have been greased or oiled. Components and tubes were checked and i replaced defective parts. The radio has been tested in a timed system about 100 hours of test run on all wavebands and has no defects. If in a few years make mistakes noticeable, so all repairs are possible using the enclosed schematics. At best packaging i attach great importance. Please also note that duty is perhaps payable. This is a used radio from my collection and it is offered by private. Usual signs of use are not listed separately and are no cause for complaint.
