Chassis in Good Condition with no Corrosion or Oxidation. Volume Control and Tuning Dials Need to be Lubricated – Read Below. Original Schematic Available on Back Panel. A very common issue with these units is that over the years the original lubricants applied to the volume control shaft and tuning shafts tend to congeal. The tuning is a “dual” set up with two knobs, one for FM, and the second for the other bands. In this set they turn free, but the mechanism needs to be disassembled and re-lubricated to be as originall made. This is strictly a labor issue, there are no parts involved. Another issue is the volume conrol, while properly working, is very stiff. Volume changes correctly, b ut as with the tuning, the control will need to be disassembled, cleaned, and lubricated. Again, this is strictly a labor issue, no parts are needed. Certainly being original and unrestored there will be minor issues found along the way, but overall this unit is a wonderful candidate for not at all difficult and minimal cost restoration.
