Up for your consideration is this Very Nice vintage & Wonderful looking B. The Model number on this radio is Unknown. This radio was produced in the 1940′s era. This was an fairly popular radio when it was introduced in 1940′s & still is by today’s standards. The Wood cabinet on this beauty is Wonderful looking that is in nice condition “Not Perfect” with a few small minor imperfections. The Marbled Bakelite/plastic louvered speaker grill adds a nice touch to the overall design of the cabinet. The finish looks Nice & the Grain in the wood is looking well to say the least. This cabinet has been cleaned & re-polished which sill retains it a nice low luster sheen or shine. I have taken many pictures of this nice looking radio & all pictures can be supersized so you may get a good view at this Nice looking & Good working radio. The plastic dial scale Lens cover is Clean & Clear with no cracks. It has a Cool looking RED Airplane Prop Dial Pointer. The 2 brown Bakelite. Control knobs are original & in Good looking & working condition. The bakelite/plastic handle on top is in great condition. There in no back panel but the loop antenna system that mounts onto the backside of the chassis act’s as partial back panel & that antenna system is in good working condition. The chassis is in good condition & it is an all American 5-tube unit with 2-controls & both controls have been lubricated & are in good working condition. The tube line up is 1-12SKK7, 1-12SQ7, 1-12SA7, 1-35Z5 & 1-50L6. The chassis has had all New electrolytic capacitor/filters installed & all wax/paper capacitors were replaced & a nice electric cord has been installed. This radio has been restored to Good working condition. GOODRICH would make an Excellent addition to your radio collection or as a stand alone radio as it’s power & beauty will surely be the talk of the room by all whom enter. Sized of this Fabulous Gem is 12-3/4″ Long, 6-1/4″ Wide/Deep & 8-1/2 High including the handle. This is a vintage radio & must be handled & cared for & treated in this manor & not like a modern day boombox. Tube radio technology “unlike modern day solid state radios” can have interference/noise in the sound quality, caused by kitchen appliances, computer monitors, flat screen TV’S, florescent lights, washing machines, high power wires above your home, etc… So where you position/place this radio in your home can make a huge difference & the direction/position it is set in. A lot of tube radios are directional meaning you “may” have to turn the radio one way or the other to receive the best reception. Tube radio usually take 30 to 45 seconds after they have been turned/powered ON before they will start playing as the tubes have to warm up. I package very well for a safe arrival.
