The unit does work and like most tube type radios, there is always a little background noise. Speaker is in very good condition with no cracks or chips to the case. The base unit does have a stress crack on the top as shown in the pics. The aqua blue is a mid-century color from the 1950s. It seems to be a scarce color. The radio displays beautifully, the black plastic cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips – just very minor scuffs. The original knobs with reflective silver inserts are mechanically functional. Radio was tested – it does plays, but with limited reception to improve longevity and performance, electronic restoration is recommended. Permanent Magnet Dynamic (PDyn) Loudspeaker (moving coil).
