This is a beautiful radio part of the Sears Golden Jubilee series of radios. The radio did power on when I plugged it in and turned it on. I was able to hear a hum. The backlit dial works as it should and it looks great! The radio has the largest and most impressive gold dial of the Golden Jubilee collection it’s 6 in diameter! The “magic eye” tuning tube also powered on and the green light looks awesome against the gold backdrop. The wood cabinet is nice and solid and the finish looks spectacular. All of the original labeled knobs are present. The tuning knob slips some when you try to tune the dial so I think that function could use a little TLC. All of the other dials seem to be working as they should be. As you can see from the pictures, the chassis looks clean but the radio has been in storage for many years so I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning. Please be sure to preview all of the pictures so that you can determine the condition for yourself. This set would look very nice in any vintage themed room or in your collection!
